From an early age, Phillip Borge set out to become a performer and professional Classical Singer. Natural ability will only take a talented artist so far, but a strong will and determination has helped push this artist forward and continues to drive his development and success. About the Singer
Phillip, from Gibraltar, is in his mid-thirties and has been singing since the age of 10. He graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA Honours degree in Music specialising in performance. He then continued his operatic training before going on to complete Post-graduate studies at the Royal College of Music, London.
During his time in Bath Phillip performed throughout the South West of England, Germany and The Netherlands.
Since returning to Gibraltar in 2009 he has performed as a soloist locally, in nearby Spain and in Austria in diverse genres, always going back to his operatic roots. In 2010 Phillip founded “Harmonics” an SATB choir which is his pride and joy. He also performs with Mount Opera, an operatic ensemble and is the organist. of the Cathedral of St Mary the Crowned.
He now combines full time employment with a busy schedule of performing, teaching and organising various charitable events annually.
In 2018 Phillip returns to his beloved Bath to take on the leading Tenor role of Laca Klemen in Bath Opera’s production of Janacek’s Jenufa.
